Innovet Health is proud to announce that it has been awarded a Prime single-vendor Data Science-as-a-Service (DSaaS) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ) contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the National Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII). This IDIQ contract has five years of period of performance with one base year and four (4) option periods of twelve (12) months each.
Founded in 2019, NAII’s mission is to develop Artificial Intelligence research, policy and development capabilities in VA to support Veterans, their families, survivors, and caregivers. The fundamental scope of the NAII DSaaS contract is to provide data science support and subject matter expertise including artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning and data analysis on NAII projects and VHA research priorities.
InnoVet Health, a SDVOSB, specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and business intelligence (BI) work at VA Office of Connected Care and Clinical Informatics and Data Management Office (CIDMO). In 2022, InnoVet’s AI/ML capabilities were part of a winning team that was awarded the VA’s Accelerating VA Innovation and Learning (AVAIL) IDIQ.

The National Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII) is the preeminent organization for artificial intelligence (AI) research, implementation, policy and collaboration at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The NAII is a joint initiative of the VA Office of Research and Development and the Office of the Secretary's Center for Strategic Partnerships. Founded in 2019, the NAII continues to expand AI efforts by placing staff experienced in AI across VA medical centers (VAMCs) and offices nationwide. The promising outcomes of the NAII’s research collaborations demonstrate great potential to leverage AI to improve Veteran care.
